I support term limits at both the State and Federal level.  For too long politics has become a career, and it seems that career politicians have become worse, the longer they stay in.

Where do you stand on "Qualified Immunity?

I support police reform in many areas, including "Qualified Immunity reform.  I do believe that police should be immune from frivolous lawsuits, it seems that "Qualified Immunity" has become a get out of jail free card.  There needs to be a return to a "reasonable standard."  One area to start is to ensure all police departments, in Iowa, are using the National Decertification Index, when hiring new police officers.

Where do you stand on the legalization of marijuana?

I support the decriminalization of marijuana, in the State of Iowa.  Marijuana has been legalized or decriminalized in 31 states.  Removing it from a felony, will keep people out of prison, who should not be in prison.

I will work hard to ensure that any budget passed, in the State of Iowa, is balanced.  If Iowa families have to balance their budgets, so should the State of Iowa.

In my opinion, the Carbon Capture Pipeline is a violation of the spirit of intent of eminent domain.  I will oppose any legislation, with regards to implementing the pipeline.  I am further opposed to Eminent Domain for private gain.

Where do you stand on Education?

As a Libertarian, I support school choice in education.  I believe parents should have more of a say in their child's education, than government.  I will continue to support open enrollment, and work to grant students and parents more options and opportunities in education.

I support a Constitutional Amendment to the Iowa State Constitution affirming Iowans right to own firearms.  I will oppose any new legislation restricting any law abiding citizen's right to own a firearm.  Law abiding citizens are not the problem.
